thought i would play a little on photoshop today.  followed the tutorial from the pioneer woman and here's what i got:

 

it was easy to do, just need to remember what it was i did for the next time.  that seems to be my problem.

quiet here, roger and eric are harvesting wheat and karlie took off to meet alec and his family for a little vacation.  she should be calling any minute to tell me she made it safely.  i am trying to be patient.  i am a little nervous.  she's not driving too far - about and hour and a half, but it's been 2 hours now.  she called and said traffic has been bad.  keep your fingers crossed. 

edited:  karlie just called - she made it - only got lost for a second.  comforting!

the corn had a little growth spurt while i was in florida.  usually it's this tall around the 4th of July, but not this year.  it was just a little behind.  not anymore.

roger and eric harvested some wheat friday. 

roger called me later in the day to let me know that the FFA boys were in the field bailing the straw - just in case i wanted to come up and take more pictures.  i figured i better not - they would probably wonder what the old lady was doing taking pictures of them with no shirts on, all sweaty, muscles bulging.  i'll just stick to taking pics of my 2 hunks!

another fantastic, awesome, hilarious, super fun trip with my girlfriends.

i am so lucky to have such wonderful friends!!!

we did a lot of eating,

drinking, walking, drinking,

dancing, drinking, laughing

and drinking.

we had 3 good days - weatherwise...

and 3 not so good days

that's ok - we made the best of it!

we did manage to have some play time while we were in missouri.

i am going to be gone for almost a week - i am heading to florida with 3 girlfriends.  can't wait.  we always have such a wonderful time.

we did get a lot of work done while we were at the cabin.

we got the concrete poured for the new cabin:

higgins....he just looks guilty doesn't he?  we were all standing right there, turned away for a second, and look what happened.

here is the finished product.  this is taken from the porch swing on the main cabin. 

we dug in the septic for the new cabin.

we also dug out one of the little ditches that feeds the pond when it rains.  it's not completely done yet, but the undergrowth and muck is out of there.  roger wants to put more big rock in some day.

 now we have a better bridge for gator rides.

we did have some play time too.  i will post some of that tomorrow.

i better get my butt movin'.  i have lots of things to do today to get ready for my florida trip with girlfriends tomorrow!!!!!!
